  If I could give this place 0 rating, I would. I was a residence for 9 years, I decided to because of the way residents are treated, management turnover , stolen property , filthy hallways and no security. I would never recommend anytime to move into this complex. They don’t clean the house, the water bill is outrageous , maintence takes forever, they don’t shovel in the winter. The thing this property does right is hold packages. Don’t waste your money, time, and energy moving this property

  I actually joined Google for the FIRST TIME today just so I could leave a review for Brookfield Apartments. I have been living in this complex for 3 years now and I wake up every morning wishing it was February. My lease will be up in February and I will NOT be renewing my lease. I want to start by saying that Brookfield wasn't this bad at first, it has went down hill drastically. I started off in Brookfield when my disabled father became very ill and I moved into his home to take care of him. My father passed away this year. By the time I had moved out from my fathers home, the roaches had taken over the entire apartment! I had always liked the complex so I figured maybe they were coming from the neighbors so I actually got MYSELF an apartment in Brookfield IN A NEW BUILDING. Income tax time and I trashed EVERYTHING that was in the house, down to the microwave and bought all NEW furniture. It is now November and the roaches have taken over again! I'm starting to think its just the buildings!! I have had the rental office to come and spray my home and it has gotten worse. I no longer cook in my kitchen because I am so grossed out. I have thrown half of my furniture away AGAIN! I'm down to paper plates! I went to take a photo from off my wall & roaches came out the picture frame. I have booked a hotel for Thanksgiving this year so my children can have a decent holiday without the roaches! Brookfield Apartments use to be better. Clean and the maintenance staff were like family. Now I'm not even sure if we have maintenance or housekeeping anymore. I refuse to have company or my family over to visit me because I am so embarrassed of the exterior living conditions. The hallways stink and are ALWAYS filthy with trash and dirt. Laundry rooms and parking lots are ALWAYS an eye sore. Not a good feeling when you are pulling up to your home. Parking lots are never clean. Left furniture and trash out by the dumpsters that seems to be left all week before they are removed. The maintenance staff that Brookfield have now are awful!! I put a work order in on November 10th and it is now the 22nd, 10 working business days later and no one has yet to come to my apartment to fix my garbage disposal in my kitchen. I have been using my dishwasher, and every time I run it, the water backs up in my sink. I now have a foul odor in my house due to this problem. I have left the answering service 3 work notes and have been to the office about the same work order. Ridiculous and sad. I was told by the rental office that the maintenance staff are behind and they have staff from other properties helping them out just so they can get caught up on work notes. I have read the reviews concerning Brookfield and THEY ARE ALL TRUE. Very SAD!! Over a thousand dollars a month for a two bedroom and this is what you get. Besides all of that, drainage problems in both of my bathrooms, leaks/ floods from my living room windows when it rains, out dated appliances and fixtures. The complex has two pools, which only the smaller pool was open this year. Was told that one of the pipes were broken and Brookfield didn't have the money to get it fixed. The kid's pool has never been open since I've lived here. The crime has gotten worse. Random gunshots. The only thing that I will give 5 stars to is the rental office, corporate and Brookfield's answering service. Amazing and sweet people. I understand these individuals are not to blame for the complex issues. They have always been more then pleasant to me. but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Not until Corporate comes in and clean it up. I can deal with all of those things besides the roaches. My God!! I have never in my life given a review on anything but this was necessary and people need to know. The reviews, people are saying the same thing, having the same issues. 10 photos posted under my profile!
