Extremely poor customer service and quality of work. Bait and switch tactic, to get my work. I explained in detail, that I had a full stainless steel exhaust for an SRT4 going on a PT Cruiser, and modification would be required at the down pipe and rear axle. For the custom work, it was suggested that they may need a "J" piece, to complete the rear end. So I purchased the additional piece and brought it for installation.

I was given an estimate over the phone, of $300-400 to complete. When I arrived, I had to insist that I provide details on what I wanted and what needed to be done. This vehicle is on air ride (these details were mentioned over the phone) and insuring the exhaust didn't cause problems when fully deflated. The work began and I was at the shop through 85% of the work. The guy removed the turbo exhaust manifold heat shield and had no intensions to reinstall, without even discussing the subject with me. After much of the work was completed, I discovered the shields were missing and informed him that it was necessary because many other turbo PT owners, mentioned that removing the heat shields would cause problems with melting or overheating the coolant overflow. He said that the 3" piping was too large and couldn't be reinstalled... He had no mandrel bender, so he had to cut a dozen or so sections, to appropriately fit the exhaust around the rear axle. To add, an additional hanger needed to be added to keep the piping from hanging. It was not added and now has an extreme hang. So low, that it's very visible viewing from the side of the vehicle.

As I mentioned, I was at the shop waiting for the vehicle, most of the day. The work concluded after hours and at no time did they inform me or mention that there would or could be, additional cost to complete the work. I arrived the following morning to pick up the vehicle and was slapped with a bill, double the quoted cost. Not $300-400, but $711.... DOUBLE the quote! Mind you, I was at the shop nearly the entire day, and not once was it mentioned that the original quote was inaccurate and would cost more.

I also requested that the exhaust tips be flush with the rear bumper. It's not even close. The tips are 3-4" over and are not evenly hung. Not to mention, you can see the piping doesn't have all the necessary hangers, and it hanging down, mid-way down the pipe (see photos).

It was approximately 2 weeks after the work had been completed, and the vehicle had been driven approximately 60 miles. The car began blowing all the water out, causing the temp light to turn on. I investigated the loss of water, noticed melting to the plastic overflow. However, no holes, yet. I refilled the water, started the vehicle and noticed water squirting out of the turbo coolant line. Upon further inspection, noticed two hose clamps side-by-side, in the center of the hose, as a repair. The hose is right beside the manifold and heat shield removal. Upon additional inspection, I found 2 loose hanging brackets that had not been bolted back into the exhaust.

I must say, these guys advertise themselves as "fabricators," but their work is less than sub-par. The only work that was done semi-clean, was most of the welds. However, 10 welds and a dozen cuts for 16" of pipe, nulls the positive.

To recap, overall, the work was done extremely sloppy, to say the least.
    1. The heat shield was removed permanently, without consulting, now causing other problems.
    2. Multiple brackets were left hanging.
    3. The turbo coolant hose was cut and secretively repaired (see photos).
    4. No mandrel bender for 3" exhaust pipe, creating much more time/cost investment, resulting in sloppy looking pipe work.
    5. Poor customer service. Does not seek input from customer.

Maybe if you're pals with these guys, they'll put more effort into quality. Otherwise, they'll bait-and-switch and offer very shabby work. I'll have to take it elsewhere, to have the work corrected.
